Igor Fedorov presents outcomes of the APCTT Governing Council Session on the margins of the 82nd UN ESCAP Session

From 20 to 24 April 2026, Bangkok hosted the 82nd session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP). The session focused on advancing inclusive societies for people of all ages across the Asia-Pacific region.

The event brought together representatives from over 50 countries. The delegation of the Russian Federation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Alimov.

Under the agenda item «Trade investment, enterprise and business innovation», a report was delivered on the outcomes of the 21st session of the Governing Council of the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT), as well as on the Centre’s key achievements over the past year. The report was presented by Igor Fedorov, Chair of the 21st APCTT Governing Council session, Vice President of RH ISTC, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC «RC Complex Systems».

«As the world enters a period of rapid technological transformation, APCTT continues to serve as a vital regional platform, supporting member States in strengthening capacities, fostering innovation, and facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies», Igor Fedorov emphasized.
Particular attention was given to the outcomes of the 21st APCTT Governing Council session, held on 4–5 December 2025 in the Russian Federation. The session brought together representatives of member States, observer countries, and international organizations. Its successful convening in Moscow underscored Russia’s strong commitment to advancing regional technological cooperation and enhancing dialogue within the ESCAP framework.

The report further highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation with APCTT, both through increased participation of member States in the Centre’s programmes and through the development of joint initiatives, knowledge exchange, and the engagement of young professionals.

As an active contributor to international technological cooperation, RH ISTC remains committed to supporting APCTT initiatives and promoting platform-based solutions aimed at strengthening scientific and technological collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region.
